Tofu burgers

Tofu burgers

Today we're going to be a ideal recipe for vegetarians: tofu burgers. Tasty and super nutritious, are an excellent choice when deciding what to eat.


  • 400 gr of tofu
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • soy sauce
  • a little bit of flour
  • salt and pepper to taste (and other herbs if you want)


Finely chop the onion, the cloves of garlic and half a bell pepper, and sauté in a pan with a little oil. Discard the excess liquid and reserve in a bowl once they are cooked.

Stepping on the tofu with a fork until it is shredded. Add the vegetables and mix. Incorporate two tablespoons of soy sauce and a bit of flour so that you can give you body and also can make it much more intense in its flavor.

Form small balls with your hands giving it a shape similar to the burgers, in fact I do it the same way with minced meat, although with a little more care.You can rebozarlas in bread crumbs if you prefer this mode, you are more crunchy and, for example, similar to those of a well-known chain of fast-food that's sure you already know what it is.

You can cook fries in a skillet with oil or in the oven, on the grill. Cook both sides and serve with bread or salad.

If you want the tofu is much more tasty in their texture I recommend that after you buy it and get it out of the package freeze. Wrap the tofu in aluminum foil, and freeze. The next day remove the package hours before cooking the tofu and you'll see that the freezing removes the water even more to achieve a texture more chewy and meaty.
