Recipes smoked tofu
The tofu has become a food that is gaining fans, thanks to which we can draw for all sorts of recipes and is also very suitable for vegan diets and those that have ingredients that replace the consumption of meat. In a previous post we have already given some vegetarian recipes tofu but you can also cook it in other ways and for this I we extend now the information with recipes of smoked tofu.

Recipes smoked tofu
The smoked tofu is another way of cooking the tofu so that we can introduce it in a greater number of recipes. The fresh tofu is treated with water, salt, smoked and pickled so that we can get a smoked tofu that you can find already prepared and ready to cook in many food shops and for which we introduce below a few recipes.
Smoked Tofu, spicy with rice and vegetables
- 1/2 Pound Smoked Tofu, cut into cubes
- 1 large Tomato without seeds, diced
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
- 1 Clove Garlic, minced
- 2 CS of Chopped Parsley
- 1 Chile / Chili / Spicy, seeded, chopped fine fine
- 1 cc of Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 CC of Sugar
We begin by making the sauce that we will take over the smoked tofu and spicy. To make it we need to mix in a bowl the tomato, the olive oil, the garlic, the parsley, chilli (aji, pepper), vinegar and sugar, and beat everything so that we can obtain a homogeneous mixture.
We take the smoked tofu cut into small cubes and place in an airtight bag in which we add also two tablespoons of the sauce that we've made Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
We then went through a frying pan with oil and the tofu marinade, leaving to cook until very hot, then remove and serve immediately, with a bit of sauce, rice or steamed vegetables.
Burgers smoked tofu
- 300 grams of smoked Tofu
- 8 button mushrooms
- 1 medium onion
- 1 glass of oat milk
- 2 large cloves of garlic
- Olive oil
Place a frying pan over a medium heat with a little oil. Clean the mushrooms, chop the onion very fine and toss into the skillet.
Cut the smoked tofu into cubes and peel the garlic, and toss everything to the mixer so that we can get a similar mass to the minced meat.
Once the onion is poached, add the mushrooms and stirring all well. When it is done take the pan to the glass of oat milk and let it reduce. Add the contents of the skillet to the bowl with the tofu and the garlic. Mix everything thoroughly. The cover with plastic kitchen and let it rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
Prepare a glass with water and put over medium heat in a frying pan with a little oil. We took out the dough from the fridge, and humedeciéndonos hands, we are forming four patties. The brown them in the frying pan, with much care not to break.
